Howdy LittleWing,

I do git where yer coming from, but there are 2 factors that contribute to the excessive use of guns for bad reasons, the failed war on drugs and lack of education and training,in the proper use of firearms for children.

Did you know, that when I was going to school in the 70's,highschool,that we were allowed to bring guns to school ? As long as we kept them locked up in our cars and didn't bring em out,it was okay,I used to bring my 22 to school,so that afterwards my uncle and I,could go shooting on our family farm, after school. But then the modern liberals came along and said that children shouldn't learn how to handle firearms, and said that sex education, was more important. As a result, children instead, became fascinated with guns and the way they were used by actors in Hollywood films, back in my day-us kids weren't fascinated that way with guns, instead, they were familiar tools used for hunting and recreational plinking, and we knew about their proper use and we didn't steal each other's guns, either. I think that every highschool, should have a gun club and that we should teach our children the proper use and respect of firearms and that doing so,will result in much fewer incidents of improper handling.

I got my 22 rifle, when I was only 10 and I got my 30-30 Winchester, when I was 12..as well as my first deer..so you see,it depends on the person behind the trigger,as to how a gun will be used.

Have a good one ....
