Anyone ever made one or seen one? im thinkin about makin one because the light at night drives me crazy and i cant close my closet because the temperature will jump to the 100's so i was thinkin about designing one ..any suggestions? [Absolut Chronic]

Less than $100, I call it my chronic box. It's triangular shape holds 3 dual-40w CFLs totalling 240w, which just happen to be in it right now and WOW is it brigh! Every wall covered with foil, (I know I know, foil sucks, but mylar is in the mail), and also contains a removable top for easy access to tall growing plants. And no matter what anybody says about growing full cycle with CFLS, yes... it is very possible and successful, it just takes significantly longer. The only problem with it right now, I can't find a cheap enough fan to ventilate the damn thing, cuz with the door shut, it will reach the 100s easily. The fan will then be mounted into one of the sides, ciruclating air. I made this off the top of my head one day just as a project, so I know it's nothing perfect, but hey, it's my chronic box.

those are regular fluoro tubes i see in the pic, not CFLs

growing with fluoros does not take longer, plants still mature at the same rate, it just doesn't produce as much yield as you would get from a HID light

a cab is the best way to go if ya ask me .. just make sure you have adequate ventilation to cool your lighting/provide fresh air :thumbsup:

You can also add a nursery video camera in your growroom and have the monitor elsewhere in the house. Look inside you grow room without ever opening the door to it.
