Im from texas, so I think im obligated to make a defense of fellow texans. Yes, our oh so favorite president hails from this land (sarcasm), and we're full of bigots, raceists, baptists and all the other lower points of humanity. Yet, not all of us are bad, the city I live in drinks more beer than any other city in Texas (ive heard the whole country but im not sure), we're full of some of the worst racists and bigots around. However I know of over a hundred intellegent (straight and gay), athiest/agnostic/buddhist/etc..., and non-racist people personally. There are good people everywhere, texas isn't all that bad....bud's cheap as fuck. Yes this is a step backwards and shows us all that there is no land of tolerence or equality only hushed hatred and gradual acceptance. The former generations have had their time to reign and corrupt and depress societal growth, but with the coming generations homosexuals will find a world that we create to be more open and free, (at least thats what I hope). Texas will definately be the last of the states to accept homosexuality, and it's a sad thing.

BTW. This law violates the 7th amendment that forces other states to recognize the laws of other states. (At least to my understanding of the amendment)
