Set-Up Help
Hi BOY..
congrats on the new set up.. should be fun
people arond here are helpful...
pics are always helpful
I am guessing you are starting from seed?
you can switch to HPS 10-14 days after sprout.. start with your HPS light 24+ inches above your plant and slowly start to lower it.. about 1-2 inches a day..
you will need to draw the heat from your HPS away from the plant and the bulb... this way you can bring the HPS close to your canopy... the closer the light to your plants the bigger the buds.. this will make a BIG difference in the weight of your yield
this can be done by pointing a fan at the light and having it blowing the heat straight to the ceiling..
your life will be 1000times easier if you can draw heat out of your closet... .. that hps is gonna heat that closet up to 90+ degrees...
4 plants in 3-5 gallon buckets is good for a first grow..

Set-Up Help
thanks bro, big help.
im starting from seed. nothing special, Nirvana White Widow...i didnt want to spend a lot my first time around. maybe better seeds when i perfect a growing technique.
i dont think heat should be too much of a problem. i can keep the door of the closet open for most hours of the day so my plan was to have one fan blowing heat at the light up toward the ceiling and mount another fan up at the top of the closet blowing it out the open door. when the door is closed ill hopefully be able to rig up some kind of vent out of the hole for the door handle.
heres a pic of what i have set up so far (the 400hps is out of the pic). everything is hooked up to a surge protector and the lights are on a timer. once i figure out my soil needs im going to germinate. cant wait!\"The road goes on forever and the party never ends\"
