    3rd tier

Ok. The 3rd set of leaves are growing on my biggest plants.
Probably about a week old, they are still wayyy over stretched, but they are being supported.
Now under a 1151 lumen light which is like 100watts, really bright. in Warm white, 2700k.

Apart from being over stretched, am I around the right kinda area?

1151 lumens is not a lot at all. What type of warm light is this? Try a full spectrum compact flourecent for a quick fix, but you will still need to upgrade as most smaller compact flouros give about double the light you have now. You will need a bit more for a better grow.

This is just a quick link to a site I found quickly from a web search. http://lightbulbsdirect.com/Merchant...ry_Code=Spiral These are compact flourecent bulbs. They are not too expensive, but are much better than standard bulbs. This is a link to the site that I got the 4 I am using. www.ozonelamp.com more pricey, but they offer larger wattage, full spectrum, and they are TiO2 bulbs.

    hey saw!!!
yeah man, saw your post on these bulbs.
    Now........
hehee, here comes the pondering part.....
would a 600w HPS/MH with an air vent and carbon filter be a better setup.
    OR
Would your bulbs that you love be better than this, then if you would think so, how can I setup this in a closet?
Those bulbs, would cost about £80 for 3!
For that, I could get a 600w hps, ballast, bulb, and a carbon filter, then another 50 odd quid for the vent.
so for..... £130, I get a vent, light, and filter.
or for £130, I get about....... 5 of these bulbs, then need to figure how to run them.
Looking forward to your answer and hopefully solution

The HPS setup would be a lot better if you can handle it. They will give you better yields. I never said that these were better grow bulbs than HPS, but they are the best CF bulbs I've seen for cannabis growing so far! I grow for just myself, so I like the TiO2 compact flourecent bulbs because of low heat, low energy, and they also keep the grow area contaminate and odor free. Now adding one of these TiO2 CF bulbs to the HPS setup wouldn't be a bad idea either, it will also help to keep the odor down a bit and kill any airborne bacteria. But if you have a good ventilation setup, the I'd go with the HPS.

heh, I know what your saying.
I know this sounds crazy, but how effective are they at removing the odor?
Because, if your growing say for example, 10 plants.

So 10 plants, using 5 bulbs, and everything. Would be ALOT easier that HPS, maybe even worth lower yields.
I haven't bought the lights yet, still using that one I showed you the other day, but I got my 3rd tier now, and payday is just around the corner so am trying to look at all the options.

As for the vent setup, was gonna have a fan pumpin out the air and heading straight to a filter and out of the window or something along those lines, also, the fan would pull in over 20x more air than would be needed, so I know those babies would get plenty of air, even if the door was closed, because the closet isnt air tight, although I will make it lightproof.
It's all about science really, with the setup I'm thinking of, due to the suction the smells couldnt ACTUALLY escape anyways, due to the entire room air being changed every hour.
    At least...
    I hope

so anyways, how many plants do you grow, and how effective are the bulbs at stopping the smell?
and how could these be wired up to a normal light socket for us foreigners?

If you are using a charcoal filter on the exhaust fan that should work fine. These bulbs are great at removing the odor though! Just to give you an example. I smoked up my entire room with bong smoke until it was stinking pretty bad, I screwed one bulb into my lamp socket and left, 45 minutes later I came back and the air smelled nice and fresh. I had 10 plants with 4 bulbs over them and you couldn't smell them until you got very close to them(within a few feet) They screw into standard lightbulb sockets so you can use them with regular lighting fixtures. Now, though I only have a single female, 9 were males. With these 4 lights on her, it is hard to smell the buds even when you put your nose up to them! I would probably still go with the HPS, setup as it is proven to increase the yeild and bud density, but for anyone thinking about compact flouros, you should seriously take a look at these TiO2 ozonebulbs. They are worth the price.

hmm, yeah definately worth thinking about.
As I said, my most mature plant was now at the third tier.
Now I know they are still waaaaaaaaaaay under developed and over stretched, here's the latest pics, under the 100w fluro I got the other day.

Also, one of my smaller plants got attacked by a damn greenfly, which shortly after discovery, left this planet.
Now, this plant is starting to turn yellow in places, half of one of the leaves, is yellowing, and also a small part of one of the razor leaves has started to turn, now it's not over fert, or under fert, as its the same stuff I'm using with the other 3, which have no problems, any ideas?

Also, I'm loading up chat and I'd like to chat to ya one on one if possible?
    Cheers mate.

PS. the third pic, is an indication of height, its an a4 size piece of paper (everyday normal use paper) which is folded in half, that is from the base of the pot upwards just in case you wasnt sure.

Wow that sprout was definately thirsty for some light! Nice support though, that should hold it up pretty well. The only time I am in the chat is if I am online at my office during weekdays. My home computer doesn't support it.
