This weekend I'm gonna be getting around half an ounce to an ounce (not quite sure yet) of weed. I was wondering if I could use a quarter of it to make hash and if that would be enough.

The reason I'm asking this is because I've been researching it and all the articles say I need to use the trimmings to make hash. I just want to know if using actual weed would work and if it would be better in the long run (such as not wasting a shit-load on nothing).
