I've only ever had it once and that was in a joint with tobacco. If you want it pure then hot knives are probably the way to go.

I've had and made my own oil before. Its like the next level of smoking. Gone are the days of smoking bong after bong. I would keep it cold in the fridge in a glass bowl and scrape some out with a razor blade. Pointed tip ones work the best. You sort of do what heheymymy was saying about heating it from below with a lighter without touching it with the flame. You will notice it go really runny, then I usually wipe the razor blade across the mix spreading it as best as you can. You have to act quickly before it cools down again then rub it into your mix quite visciously with your fingers. Takes a a little practice but its worth it. It makes your mix so resiny that your lungs will spasm from the potency. And it tastes fantastic. Buy it while you can.. you won't regret it. Beware! don't put more than a couple of drops worth into the mix!
I would be suprised if anyones lungs could handle it without mixing it with baccy at least.
I've also found it works quite well smeared very thinly in a line on a cigarette. Again you will need to heat it before applying. There will be people walking around saying 'I can smell dope'. You can say 'well its not me, this is just a cigarette, see!'
Also a much better chance you won't get caught with it when using airports.
