You can go up to Canada for Absinthe i believe. Its not THAT far from Illinois. Ive never tried absinthe, but i hear that you want it to have high thujone content (the stuff in wormwood), its the stuff that makes you trip. And they say if you drink too much you just get blasted drunk and dont hallucinate.
