Has anyone seen Jarhead yet? It's a pretty good flick, from the same guy who did American Beauty. It shows the what the troops had to go through in Operation Desert Storm. The movie kinda leans towards the idea that Desert Storm's main cause was for oil..... But other than a slight agenda they push it was a great flick. Way better than 3 Kings.

my girls 9 months pregnant and i was considering joining the army myself i went to see jarhead last friday on its premiere and it really persuaded me not to join through the whole movie they pretty much didnt do shit except show u what happens to people when there not expossed to thc..an yet an still none of them phycos got to get a shot off till da end smh

Yeah, the whole movie, to me, was about how much it sucks being a marine, even when you don't have to fight. So its like, being a marine is either "shitty" or "fucking shitty".

Did anyone like this more than American Beauty? Personally, American Beauty is a movie I've seen probly at least 20 times. I don't think Jarhead will have that kind of staying power at all.

But then again I really hate war movies. The only reason I saw this one was because of the director.

I was thinking about goin to the movies this weekend but I didnt know anything about the movies that were comming out. I guess Ill go see this one now since I atleast know alil bit about it

No such thing as a good war movie? Platoon, Apocalypse Now, Full Metal Jacket, just to name a few, are some of the best movies ever made, and they're war movies. And all of them are very much anti-war, so who's the dumbass now?
