Favorite place to not smoke?
Hey Metroplexpolsion readers! What're everyone's favorite places around town to do things other than puff? I haven't been around for too long, so don't make fun of me if my places are lame and I just haven't figured it out yet!
Exposure Rock Gym - look out for the weekends though... it's a prime location for you 7th through 12th birthday. Super friendly staff and members.
Meridian Room - right across the street from fair park. Actually all the bars on that corner are pretty fun. But you have to check out the Meridian Room on Wednesdays for half priced food (they've got great food). Good food. Good drinks. Good atmosphere. Good people.
Elbow Room - So far every time I've been there it's been pretty dead, but they've got the best shuffleboard table I've ever seen (it's all in the sand) and a very chill atmosphere. Great place if you want to be able to hear the person you're talking to. Except once when there was live music... which was awesome.
Duke's - It's this place at Beltline and Midway. What a trip. Gotta be the highest concetration of popped collars in Dallas. Fun place to sit back and enjoy watching slutty coeds strut around for frat guys. And to top that living joke off, Dukes also seems to be a hot spot for leather clad old school bikers. It's like Jesse James built an Abercrombie & Fitch bike and half way through got sidetracked by a miniskirt with some nice cleft hanging out. Just go. Take your drinking buddies.
Kostas - Greek restaurant at Park and Alma in Plano. Fantastic, and good prices too. Don't hold me to that location though... can't remember for sure. The other day I saw a Kostas on Greenville south of Lovers also. Anybody hit that location?
Momo's - Haven't been there yet, but I hear it's amazing... anybody got any beta on it?

Favorite place to not smoke?
I'll second duke's(depends on your mood), especially on the fourth of july. You can sit outside and see the fireworks and they have really cheap pitcher specials then too.
Another good place is shuck and jive on lovers right off 75. They have good cajun food and it's almost always packed.
I've lived in dallas my whole life and I still don't know which places are good, I don't really get out much.
A good resource for bars, restaurants, movie listings concerts etc in the dfw is guidelive.com.

Favorite place to not smoke?
There is a pretty cool place in the Southeast quadrant of Preston and 190.....Obzeet. They have good bands on the weekend and an extremely cool patio, excellent food, desserts drinks Etc.
I've been to both the Kostas and I like the one in Plano the best. I think it is byob, but correct me if I'm wrong.
As far as MOMO's goes......I think it is the Bomb! My favorite Momo's location is the one on Knox st. just west of central expwy.
Cheers :rasta:

There's more than one MOMO's?! You just blew my mind, lol. I'm not sure about alcohol at Kostas... I just go there and get takeout for lunch. Is the one on Greenville not that good? I haven't been there, but I've been threatening for awhile b/c it's really near me. I'm working on them knowing me and my order as soon as I go in. Sweet. I'll have to check out Obeetz... the name seems familiar, but I can't picture it.

Yea, I think there are like 3 or 4 Momo's
There's one off of Knox just east of 75, there's one in the southeast corner (strip center) of Montfort and Beltline, and one somewhere off of greenville ave. maybe royal or walnut hill.
The Greek restaurant near you is good, same folks own it, I just haven't been there in years.
If you are really into greek food I've got another good reco.
