I'll second duke's(depends on your mood), especially on the fourth of july. You can sit outside and see the fireworks and they have really cheap pitcher specials then too.

Another good place is shuck and jive on lovers right off 75. They have good cajun food and it's almost always packed.

I've lived in dallas my whole life and I still don't know which places are good, I don't really get out much.

Exposure Rock Gym - look out for the weekends though... it's a prime location for you 7th through 12th birthday. Super friendly staff and members.
