I'd rather not slander police as a group, just a few individuals who uphold the law about as much as the Hells Angels do. I live in a small town with about 3 police active at any given time.

In Langford, the neighbouring city, population and therefore development has increased a lot in the last 10 years or so. So what used to be a small town with peaceful grow-ops every 20 feet (not unlike where I live) has turned into an armpit of a society.

I go there to visit a friend, maybe twice in a month. I've already jumped by tweakers about 3 times, each time getting closer to being stabbed. The useless Langford police have a gigantic police station (it looks more like a concentration camp) in the city centre, presumably to impress their powerful presence upon Langford's citizen's. The funny thing is the meth kids all hang out at a gas station across the road from the cop station, and the police do nothing about it.

Yet there is a new grow op bust in the papers every week, as if that somehow makes the city a safer place to be. Meanwhile the crackheads and tweakers multiply like cockroaches, while the local police do nothing. Just the other day my best friend was once again jumped by a group of speed freaks, and the only reason he's still alive and uninjured is that one of the tweakers overdosed in the middle of the street in front of him and had to be dragged off.

I could go on and on, but I won't bore you any longer. Lets just say that the police aren't always as useful as they'd have you believe.

This would accomplish what? I'm a 17 year old hippie with a pompous attitude and hair down to my shoulders, I'm suprised I can get near the place without being tackled.

What am I doing to help? I'm campaigning to get a drug outreach program started, so the kids who are having a bad trip don't get thrown in a jail cell and end up hurting themselves.

As much as I detest those pigs, never would I try to mess with them or harm them.

There are some good cops out there -- remember that. However, most of them are assholes, who will fuck with you on any given minute...TRUTH.

If I ever get pulled over for something as dumb as this one time I was pulled over for "sitting in a neighborhood too long" (yo, I was looking through my CDs of what I wanted to listen to after leaving a friends house, we were sitting outside his house...anyway, so this cop follows me to my neighborhood, I make sure to follow all the rules of the road..seeing as how I was fine anyway, and sure enough I get pulled over. And that was his reason for pulling me over -- you knwo the real reason why he pulled me over, hoping he could get me for something stupid) anyway, if I get pulled over for something like that, next time I'll make sure to ask the cop why he pulled me over for something as stupid as that, and what business he really had intended when he pulled me over.

God, I hate 95% of the cops out there.

People LOVE to defy authority. Everyone did it as a kid. Maybe if we stopped treating police officers like "fucking corrupt pigs" they'd stop treating us like criminals.

What about people that don't do that -- do those cops spare them any mercy? Hardly, they'll do as they please in many cases. (Not all cops, mind you)
