plan to grow indoor nowYou will need to buy different lights. Halogens may look very bright, but the spectrum and lumen output on them isn't very good at all. You can go ahead and try to grow with them, but you will get medicore results. Especially if you are trying to flower them at 3 feet. When put to flower, most plants can grow an additional 30-50% in height. You may be possibly looking at 6 foot plants if you flower them at 3 feet! The halogens will not be able to support 2 plants of that size. You will definately need a different lighting system.

plan to grow indoor nowIf money is a struggle you can use normal fluorescent lights from your local DIY store. While in veg they prefer the 'cool white' bulbs if you can get hold of them, do you have a hydro store in the area? If you can afford a little more go for compact fluoros. As sawleaf said throw the halogens away.

plan to grow indoor nowi really wish people would invest like atleast A COUPLE MINUTES reading up about things before asking such questions. Halogen?? please... check out the growfaq section at overgrow.com, buy yourself a few books and then you will know why a question like 'will halogen bulbs work' make me so fustrated. If you want us to take you seriously and help you with your grow, you need to show that you are serious in what your doing. Why offer help to someone who is gonna half ass the job????

plan to grow indoor nowBlazingDUBs420, you have to look at it from our perspective. DirtyLinus, HvyFuel, Me, and a lot of others who dedicate our time to this site in order to help out fellow cultivators like you, are not angry. I personally want everyone to cultivate their own cannabis! But it does get frustrating seeing the same questions posted again and again. There seems to be a major lack of seriousness among the new growers that I see posting with questions. Their is no substitute for grabbing a book, studying it, and having it as an in instant reference for your growing. You may experience growing your plant, but you will not truely understand what is going on, be able to diagnose or prevent problems, or even succeed at it without the knowledge. I also believe that by purchasing a cannabis growing book, you are helping to support the people who made all this great knowledge available for all of us in the first place. People like Ed Rosenthal, Mel Franks, Jorge Cervantes, DJ Short, etc. You say you have read and know what you are doing, well if that really was the case, then you would have not asked such a basic question in the first place. You can even pick up many cannabis cultivation books at your local BArnes and Noble or Borders book stores. Pick up a few! You'll see that they are definately NOT a waste of money at all.
