i went over to england a few years ago, i am an avid fish lover. So my grandmother took me to the shop right near where they lived, do they still serve it in news paper? good god that was the best fish and chips i have ever had. and crunchee bars hee hee!

No, everything is put on like a waxy paper, and then wrapped in just paper, like thick-ish plain, sheet of paper.
