Need an opinion concerning acid

So my buddy has several tabs of acid...and Ive always been curious....Ive take shrooms whenever I come across them and am real into it....I am very curious as to what acid would be like, but I dont want to permanently mess myself up...I was wondering if anyones had any experiences or any insight into this for me..thanks

I guess, one time you won't fuck yourself up. I remember, when I was a teenager, every time we dropped acid, someone would bring up "if you do acid 10 times, then you're considered legally insane". I don't know if it's true, but if it is, now I have a criminal defense. Tabs are the best to do. I only had one bad trip, but as long as you're with friends (real ones), you'll be alright, in fact, I was good enough to drive eight-hours later (though the lights on my Mother's steering-wheel were more exciting).

is a bad trip just a lot of bad thoughts, hallucinations???? I dont think that will happen, im taking it with a couple real good friends who have never tried it either....i just hope it doesnt leave me real fucked up in the head..or give me flash backs

LSD is actually somewhat like shrooms. The difference is that LSD gives you a much more stable high..extended over a 4-6+ hour period.. shrooms are much more unstable.. you often daze in and out (i do anyway) of your high... with LSD.. you're high.. and you know it.

As for over doing it the first time? you probably won't if you're smart about it. do 1 tab.. maybe 2 depending on age/weight/height and what not.. go with what you're comfortable with. and remember to stay happy .

Bad trips can be caused by a lot of things.. if shit is happening in your life.. and you're doing LSD to ...urm.. wash away your worries.. that's a bad idea.

Don't do LSD to drown your sorrow.
Do it to have fun. But remember to be safe...best to have someone around for that.. just in case.. situation

yeah thanks for the response.....thats kinda how i was feeling anyways..My mindset is good, im doing it just because I like to experiment with new things and am excited about it..I had a crucial mushroom trip last weekend, I hope this tops that

I agree. Except about the duration. When we used to do it, we'd usually stay up all night skateboarding & things like that. I'd say you should have at least 12 to 24 hours free where you don't have to interact with any authority figures or people who could give you bad vibes. The essential thing is to be with good people, and to have a safe place to go to where you can chill out & relax if need be. The best times I had were out in a national park or camping or something... where we could get away from things like cars & people & noise.

Good. 90% of the time you have a bad trip, it's because you've got some sub-conscience thing going on..and you've actually done (whichever) drugs for the wrong reasons.
There are however, times when you may just find yourself in a dark room, sitting on the toilet...and you may feel that the high is becoming to intense. This can often result in a bad trip because you become paranoid about wether you'll ever return to normal or not.

Rest assured, you probably will. This is why i say it's good to have someone around when you're going on a trip...

Duration is not a garuntee'd thing either. it depends on factors. I've found some LSD highs to last only as long as 6 hours.. while others.. i was feeling it the next day.

The first time I took LSD, I was 13 or 14 years old...and my main concern was coming down in time to make it home for dinner with my family at 5:00 P.M.
My mother was strict on that rule of being home on time for dinner.
So, this concern presented itself during my trip...although the trip itself can hardly be put into appropriate words (sooo incredibly beautiful)...or can't be captured on canvas...so that in itself may have actually kept the other concern from ruining things.
I took the acid...but within an hour, having thought that I didn't take enough, rode my bike back home and got the rest. By the time I peddaled back down to the lake, I was on my way to another land. Within an hour or so, I sat by myself at a picnic table in the woods with a radio. A song by "Alive and Kicking" called "Tighter" was playing. For the first time in my life, I realized I had a soul...the way that music just poured in there...good God almighty...

And although there were tiny ants crawling from the radio speaker and getting increasingly larger as they came acoss the table and then were in my mind in 3D detail viewed by me from all angles, I wasn't scared in the least. Perhaps it was the reassuring light that was now streaming from what should have been shadow in the depth of those woods...

anyhow, if you've taken mushrooms, you have at least paved the way on what to expect.

The heavy hallucinations slowed down around 3:00 p.m. and I did make it home for dinner. Two parents that were not talking to one another...and five siblings. For some reason, we had bluberry pancakes that night. I had no appetite at all...and the plate was moving. Ripples danced across my pancakes. I went back out with friends for a few hours...came back home...went up to my room, jumped into bed, and turned out the light. A few minutes later, mom came in, clicked on the light...the room burst into paisley traces...and my mother interrogaed me. She knew something wasn't right. wanted to know who I was with that day. Moms are funny like that.
