I'll elaborate a little more...

The paper towel method of germination is a GREAT way to germinate.. there's been great success by numerous amount of growers.. it is a tried, tested and true method for germination.

However... you really should be planting the seeds when the tap root becomes visible. If you don't you run the risk of drying the seedlings out.. or you end up adding moisture and then they start to grow mold on the tap root. This can be bad...

Idealy you only really need a 1" taproot for proper propigation.

What to do?

make sure you dig out enough roof in the soil for the tap root. Try VERY hard.. not to snap the tap root, if you do.. she won't live.

give them a light watering afterwards to seal the soil around the seed/root.

The best method of watering for seedlings is to either use a spray bottle or a very light sprinkler.. if you pour the water right at the base of the seedling, the soil will set and sink.. and your seedling will topple.

Hope this helps, i'll add anything i can..

Cheers!
