I use only distilled water . You still have to add the cal mag plus back to it, however it is the lowest in PH and by the time I add everything in the mix it's almost perfect 5.9. I don't have to adjust much. And yes it's a great flush just like it is. I'm hydro , if your soil you want your PH up a little. Only one thing making your own distilled can be a pain, always having the machine running. Probably cost more. But I would go with RO or distilled. You know what's in there from the start. BobBong I do not drink the water I make for the reasons in the article you refer to. It is not good for humans but since hydro is on the acidics side it is the best start. If I do drink it I raise the PH by adding baking soda. A higher body Ph fights off cancer. Cancer can not grow in an alkaline enviroment. Doctors will not tell you that. How ever if you have chloronated water what do you think that does ? Chlorines soul purpose is to destroy organic matter and leaveing it out for 24 hours does not remove it all. and what other kinds of salts are in there ? We should all be drinking a good mineral spring water with a higher PH. As for plant you need to know what's in the mix and how to control it. No offence Bob I like the article.
