Do you need to dry in the dark or is the grow room okay with new plants going?

Light apparently degrades the thc and trichomes. Don't dry it too quickly.. that's the main reason you'll get poor quality somke. And it'll taste like lawn clippings. Hang the plant in a darkened area with good ventilation and no excess heat. Last time I dried it I did that for about a week then chopped it down and placed in shoe boxes opening and closing the lids often to allow gases etc to escape. From memory, drying and curing is best done over a 2 week period. Then the natural urge to open and close the bag you've stored it in will further the curing process.
And don't over dry it. From my experience it seems to make the smoke really harsh.
Best of luck.

Hello Starchild
Yes dry in a dark, well ventilated and dry enviroment.
I have from time to time forced dried buds in a shoe box on top of the ballast/transformer thingyand I always dry my leaves like that but it does degrade the potentcy doing it that way

I agree.I am Buddhist and things became much easier when I realized I can only control my actions and not those of others. What a relief!
