my father is a police officer, do you feel the need to kill him? they dont 'control' anyone. our laws are based on moral standards that dictate what is right and what is wrong, police mearly enforce these laws. do you honestly think that a society could function without law enforcement?

according to your convoluted logic, if you were walking down the street with a loved one (child, spouse, parent, friend, etc.) and all off a sudden a nut jumped out and started attacking that person, raping them and even killing them, the police should do absolutely nothing about it. even if a cop was standing ten feet away, you would say 'im sorry mr. police officer but you have no right to stop this man, even if you have "just intent". hes doing this on his free will and we should allow him to ruin this innocent persons life just because he feels like it'.
