my father is a police officer, do you feel the need to kill him? they dont 'control' anyone. our laws are based on moral standards that dictate what is right and what is wrong, police mearly enforce these laws. do you honestly think that a society could function without law enforcement?

according to your convoluted logic, if you were walking down the street with a loved one (child, spouse, parent, friend, etc.) and all off a sudden a nut jumped out and started attacking that person, raping them and even killing them, the police should do absolutely nothing about it. even if a cop was standing ten feet away, you would say 'im sorry mr. police officer but you have no right to stop this man, even if you have "just intent". hes doing this on his free will and we should allow him to ruin this innocent persons life just because he feels like it'.

morals are not universal, im afraid, and additionally, laws are immoral, as they see justice as imposing upon free will...

there was an online petition once to bring back Surge...when i signed it, it was already extremely large (100k plus signatures?) and as you can see, i hasn't been brought back...so yea i don't think petitions work....i don't know this guy and couldn't say what i think is for sure or not...but to me that just seems like someone who fucked up, and doesn't want to face the consequnces for what they've done

Feel free to argue me, but im my opinion i think they should just get it over with and execute the guy. I am very picky when it comes to capital punishment, but the guy started one of the worst gangs in the history of the United States. It has even spread up here (toronto canada). Anyone from around the region will know the escalating gun and gang problems that are plaguing the city. A guy was shot up at his friend's (who was also shot) funeral b/c he was a witness!!!. I have a younger sister (4yrs old), and I do have friends that have been victims themselves, and it ruins lives. It is not something I want in my city, or anywhere for that matter. I have no respect for anyone even remotely involved in any of these gangs, and it seems to me that the guy just wants to avoid his death. Even if he is truely sorry for what he did, he cannot change what he did, and should suffer accordingly. Victims of gangs such as the crips dont get a second chance, why should this guy.
