Next time use the growing section. You'll get a good response quicker, but I happen to know a simple and effective way of getting rid of those pests.

Use non-biodegradable soap. I recommend Johnsons and Johnsons Baby shampoo. You can also use the sink detergent under your sink. Just read the back and make sure it is the proper soap.

Mix that with 1/4 soap, 3/4 water, and lightly mist your plants daily and the little bastards should stay the fuck off your plants.

If that doesn't work, you can use Neem Oil. I have never used that though as I found the simple soap and water method to be effective. Just make sure it is the suitable kind of sop. Good luck, peace :rasta:

    angel,

tell your friend that spidermites are no joke and veryvery very few people ever get rid of them.. especially if you are growing indoors.. it is an on going battle.. he/she will need to be very vigilant and spend 1-2 days every couple weeks fighting them.. with neem oil, soap, pest bombs etc..

they go dormant under 65 degrees and can stay dormant for more than a year. they come back to life when the temp goes up.. if the temp is over 80 degrees they will breed like crazy!!!!!

there are two ways to really put an end to them.

    1. this super toxic shit called avid... it can kill anything.. even the people using it.

    2. seal off the room and increase the C02 levels so that nothing can live in the room.

other than that, it is an on going battle

    I resemble that remark!
I've tried everything from cloroxing the room (in between crops), mixing up marigold flowers and jalapeno peppers in a blender and spraying the plants, neem oil, toxic shit from home depot, hepa filters on my heat/air unit, sealing up every crack into the room, all with so-so success.
Some crops get 'em, some don't.
Cleanliness is a good deterrent. If you have houseplants, you will probably end up with spider mites. Treat the houseplants!
Keep dead foliage out, don't crowd the plants, and be prepared. Chemical pesticides can screw with a plant's growth, not to mention human lung tissue. If you do go the poison route, choose one that has a high degree of biodegradability.
I used to take a blowtorch to the little bastards after I pulled my plants and hung them. The mites gather up in a knot on the upper end of the plant, and I'd just toast 'em.
    Good luck!
