    why is she mad?

Exactly what I was going to say. I've been thru similar situations with hubby and in other relationships in my past and while the bottom line with me was "Oh hell he/we could have been killed/arrested/etc." other factors that have come into play have been:

Over reaction from hubby/boyfriends that caused unnecessary scenes, racked up unnecessary fines, got folks arrested for no good reason other than someone being a hot head.

Hubby/boyfriend's tunnel vision saw/judged events as something they weren't and then he went into auto pilot mode and all hell breaks loose.

Also if you are living together and funds are tight then one of woman's biggest stress agents is "Oh shit, how do we or how would we have kept the lights on and bail you out of jail/pay the fines/pay for a lawyer/etc."

Just let her know your sorry and you hope to never go through that again but she needs to realize your just a man and prone to a few mistakes here and there.

    Stay safe,

I\'ve always followed my father\'s advice: he told me, first to always keep my word and, second, to never insult anybody unintentionally. If I insult you, you can be goddamn sure I intend to. And, third, he told me not to go around looking for trouble. - John Wayne

she probably just needs time to sort through her feelings about what happened dude. Nothing personal she just has a lot going on in her head right after the fact. Good to see you worked it out, good to communicate.

Next time someone jumps her and you're together just sit back and watch and when it's all over and the perpetrator gone if she dares askin why you didn't intervene simply say..."Oh,I'm sorry baby...I didn't wanna hurt the poor guy!"

It's really dumb to excuse girls being stupid like that just cuz they're girls...I mean we all are human beings, right? When you're in trouble and someone helps you out of it you thank'em, you dun give them the shit she gave you...

    Not that's what I think
