See, you don't HAVE to extend into the unknown, you merely acknowledge its existence outside the borders of human knowledge. If you want to say it will all be understandable by science SOME DAY... fine. I think that's a little naive, but cool. Regardless, people have been attempting to understand the universe since the beginning of mankind, so believe it or not, they've figured out some alternate paths already.
