what to take..?
Would diazepam/other depressants be good to take recreationally when you have anxiety problems? I can't even smoke now; maybe it's just the psychological effects of smoking, but I start getting dizzy & think i'm going to die. Even cigarettes.
I wouldn't take a lot cause i have a hideously low tolerance, i took i think 2.5mg valium once (it was 1/2 a yellow) & i did kind of feel it.
But the problem is i don't like zoning out randomly cause it feels like you're in a dream or something and you can't really pay attention to anything around you. I don't like that cause if somebody tried to talk to me while i was like that, i wouldn't be able to talk to them. And it's really hard to get out of it...
I also probably wouldn't like any euphoric effects, cause when i get like that without drugs (i don't have a lot of drug experience but all kinds of weird things go on to me without them..) and i tend to say/do stupid things i regret later.
The one thing i liked was the stupid/careless feeling when i used to take 150mg dxm. Last summer though, i took 150mg and all i got was dizzy. But that's basically what i'm trying to get though, that numb/kind of stupid feeling without the dissociative effects.
I don't have access to a lot but i want to know what might be most useful for trying to get like that? Depressants might work better but i might start zoning out (which in turn might bring an anxiety attack, thats how bad i am ), but stimulants might be worse, i don't know.
I heard weed is a mind-expanding thing, which would explain why i didn't like it. I didn't like thinking about all these weird things (and it made me dizzy & paranoid)
any suggestions/advice/anything would be appreciated.

You don't need xanax for anxiety, unless it's just overwhelming for you to perform simple tasks.
There's a lot of benzos out there. I would reccomend talking to your physician, however.
Everyone has failed to mention the major dependency issues and terrible withdrawls. -_- Those occur in any benzo or any opiate you take, so just take care of yourself when you get a giant bottle of god knows what from your doctor. Make sure you have your doctor inform you of all the positives and negatives, as well.
Be cool, don't use drugs......
.....without first covering the angles!

i think it is, cause i avoid doing things cause i think i'll get a panic attack & can't get back in my nice safe room
They'll probably try to give me zoloft or something (cause 1.its a free clinic & the doctors probably aren't very good 2.misdiagnosis) or just deny it altogether.
All of a sudden too, I get dizzy (maybe its part of a panic attack), and it goes away after about a minute or so...
I probably wouldn't take it medically (every day or whatever), just when it's getting really bad. Because i keep thinking i'll run out & be even worse off than before.
What do you think they'll give me if I went in & said i have anxiety (I'm 14)? Would it be easier just trying to get some off my friends maybe? both ways would be complicated & painful.

if it's a free clinic i doubt they'd give you xanax....it's one of the more expensive scripts (atleast used to be, that's why i don't have it)

apparently I'm going to go against the main flow and suggest that you don't need to be asking us about advice for drugs. It doesn't sound like you have any reason to desire to take drugs. Except maybe an anti-anxiety drug that's probably best to get from doctors anyways (covered by insurance at least).
It sounds like you don't like your mind or body to undergo non-standard sensations. That's what drugs do, that's what any altered state is, if that makes you anxious then don't do drugs...
I mean, did I miss something? It's possible, because I can handle altered states, and actually use them for mind-expansion. Or at least, that's what I tell myself. Anyways the bottom line to this paragraph being that I'm high right now, and might not have understood what you were asking.
Man this post seemed to take forever. And yet it shows up all at once...
Oh yeah, so in conclusion... just don't do drugs

If you're only 14, I would reccomend passing up any drugs for anxiety at the moment, unless, like I said, it is too overwhelming to perform everyday tasks. If you really think you need help - see a doctor...but don't self-medicate. We've all been there/are there/are going to be there at some point, but drowning problems with drugs is only temporary - only finding yourself will make it last.
Problems occur when mental disorders get dulled with drugs. Even physicians are prone to handing out very powerful and dangerous drugs like skittles.
A lot of times, mental disorders stem from underlying problems or past events. A person really needs to dig deep inside themselves to find out what the problem is. Psychotherapy is one of the best ways to do this.
You need to know the problem before trying to fix it.
