you should read the book, unless you don't like reading

Orwell i think is the guy that wrote it. He also wrote ANIMAL FARM which is an excellent story about uprise, rebellion, and all that grandeur. Even though it's about animals taking over a farm, it's a metaphor for the minority overtaking the power.
Nope i love reading....but only if the books good! lol
but i have heard that the book is sooooo much better than the film.....so i might just get the book instead.

Yeah it was George Orwell that created it...and when i was at school one of the other years there were reading animal farm....some said it was good....and others hated it.....i might have to check it out at some point......

    Cheers dude

I think Canadians make TV's and sell them to Japan for bigger profit and then they sell it to England for a BIGGER profit and then ENGLAND sells it to America for EVEN BIGGER PROFIT, and that's the conspiracy.

In year 11, last year our English class read Empire of the Sun, it's a great book about the war in Japan and how things change drastically from a young boy's perspective (Jim).
    I recommend it!

Yeah, we read 1984 and Animal Farm in my US History class. I've come to this conclusion.

If you're smart, you will love them both. If you're a moron, you'll get confused and proclaim that the book is stupid, not you.

Oh, and if you're a fan of Orwell, you should also read Down and Out in Paris and London.
