Yeah it was George Orwell that created it...and when i was at school one of the other years there were reading animal farm....some said it was good....and others hated it.....i might have to check it out at some point......

In year 11, last year our English class read Empire of the Sun, it's a great book about the war in Japan and how things change drastically from a young boy's perspective (Jim).

Yeah, we read 1984 and Animal Farm in my US History class. I've come to this conclusion.

Oh, and if you're a fan of Orwell, you should also read Down and Out in Paris and London.
