    Lighting Situation

Hey guys, i got a plant in a pot and she has just popped out to do some sun bathing, so as i'm on a realy realy tight budget, around $15 (im british) so would 1x 23w cfl (equivalent to 120w) so would this do for just the one plant?? as this is the only thing i can afford, and it is winter and it gets realy cold and non-sunny over winter (kind of like canada - but no sun at all) so is it worth buying and sticking that in?? cheers guys/gals.
P.S wen i line my grow box with tin foil, which way round does it go - shiny side in or shiny side facing out?? Cheers :rasta:

Shiny side facing to the wall...

The dull side facing to the plants.

You should try and get some Mylar... if possible.

    sane,
you should try to get a 42 watt cfl... it will say "150watts" on the package..

one of these lights is enough to grow a mother plant to keep in veg...

if you want to actually get buds, you should flower the plant when it is 6 inches tall do to the minimal light you are providing.

    good luck

yeah, cheers guys, this realy helps me, just one thing - i was trying to find a 200w cfl and i tried to find it by looking in EVERY electrical shop/warehouse/trade suppliers in the whole of Cardiff (capitol city) and the surrounding areas, and the biggest i could find was the 120w. A few guys said that it was due to americans having bigger houses and cheaper electricity and that the largest i can buy in britain was 120w, so i bought it. I did my best. if anyones knows a place that sells any stronger cfl's in britain, pls, pls tell me, thanks. i'll post some pics when i get my set up going!! :rasta:

Female, Male... Go to the FAQs section... there's some pictures posted there that are very good guides to male/females.

    Earliest you can find out?
I think, that soon after you begin to flower... 1 or 2 weeks?

Garden, please shed some light on the issue...

    Can you smoke male plants?
Shit... you can smoke dog shit of you're able to make a joint out of it...

Yes you can smoke male plants. [ok, c'mon... ask more... research...]
