Getting evicted over the use of medical marijuana
My name is Michael Adam Assenberg, I used to be a security guard in 1985 and was attacked on the job where I was hit in the middle of my back with a baseball bat and pushed 15 feet off a train bridge into a dry river bottom where there were boulders that I landed upon. I broke nine bones in my back and neck area and could not walk for six months. Even then I draged my leg for many years till I was able to move one of them better.
My Doctor has me on 500 MG of morphine per day as well as 60 mg of perkaset and under I-692 my doctor signed a paper for the use of Medical Marijuana. Now with the amount of damage done to my spin I act like a human heater. I let off so much heat that I soak the sheets at night. Now I have a service animal that is not like most service animals. My service animal is a snake. Now I know you are wondering just what service can a snake perform.
The answer is that I have trained my snake to stay around my neck and with the snake being there it drains heat off my body thus calming down the spasms. That is considered a service thus making my snake a service animal. I have talked to ( Dawn ) at the zoo in Tacoma, WA who states that a snake can be trained to preform this kind of service and I have a letter from a vet that say's that my snake has thus been trained. Also I have talked to Denise at the American with Disabilities office who states that my snake is covered under the ADA act for the service provided.
Housing here in Anacortes has decided to give me and my family an eviction notice just for the use of Medical Marijuana and the use of the snakes as a service animal. It clearly states this in there eviction notice even with them getting letters from my doctors office stating my right for both issues. Now in return I have filed in Superior court in Shagit County, Mount Vernon Washington. A copy of the Lawsuit and case number are below.
Another thing to note about this case is that I filed this without a lawyer and I will be handleing this case myself in court without a Lawyer.
Any questions please call Michael Adam Assenberg at: 360-293-8252

Getting evicted over the use of medical marijuana
What's up my brother. Let me tell you I feel you pain, I recently had an accident that left me with 3 fractured vertabre and 1 that was crushed (T8-T11). While I realize this is by no means the same as your injury I do realize what you are saying about the pain and the drugs that they give you. I don't have any letter from my docter saying that I should use marijuana for the pain but I have smoke grass for many years and I have found that it works just as well if not better than the drugs from the docter. I wish you the best of luck in your court case, what that asshole land lord of yours did was not only inhumane but just plain sick. I wish I could kick his ass for you but unfortuately I am walking Just like you right now. I think you have a hell of a discrimination case but I am not a lawyer. Just a thought but have you thought of contacting NORML. You may get lucky and find some kind hearted lawyer who will take your case pro-bono, just a thought.
peace and best of luck, redeyedHow can they take away our weed?
What\'s next, the apple?
Man made alcohol, Mother Nature made Marijuana.
