2 days ago one of the neighbors, a mexican family, had drove down to my house and an 11 year girl got out of the vehicle, came to the door and invited me to come over to their house tomorrow for a birthday party for the niece. She said there would be music and food and a big celebration. So I thought how nice for them to invite me so I decided to not plan for dinner that evening.
I showed with a present for the 3 year old and I was the only white person there out of 40 or 50 mexicans, and only one of 3 that spoke english. They said we are having authentic mexican beef tacos tonight. I thought wow that sounds pretty good. So they brought about 4 out on a plate already rolled and filled with cilantro and onion etc. I ate three and decided to mingle with the english speaking people one of which was the chef who had a large 3ft diameter grill in the back yard and he was cooking up a storm. I said, hey I see you are also making chicken tacos too. He said " oH no, these are beef tacos". I said "well why is there white meat on the grill? He said, " oh no this is beef, brains on the left and intestine on the right". You should have seen the look on my face as I was in the process of chewing. I went from smiling and chewing to stoned cold sober with a fake grin!!!!!!!!
So I dodge around the corner and fed the rest to the dog. When I came back the hostess said, Oh you really like huh, you eat so fast, I make more for you . Oh No! I declared, "SO FULL thank you very much". HIliarious!!!

LoL, man that nasty. I got done in a chinese restaurant once, ate pigs testicles and was told it was pork. Ewwwww!!

As long as it tatsed good, who cares? But, a shock, yes, it would have shocked me for a few seconds, then I would have kept eating, as not to offend anyone.

In Calgary here in Alberta we eat something called 'praire oysters'...bull testicles! We batter them up, deep fry them, eat them up. Taste just like chicken. Nothing to be groosed out as long as it tastes good.

Hotdogs are really not much farther from your intestines and brains episode.

but some of the stuff I ate was questionable..

Out here in California we have tons of authentic Mexican taquerias and brains, tongue, stomach, etc. is just standard stuff on the menu. I usually just get the carne asada(steak) or al pastor(grilled pork). Awesome stuff.

Eating weird, by our standards, food is nothing new to me though. My wife is Chinese and my in-laws still live in China. Whenever we go back to visit I always end up eating...umm..."interesting" new foods. Once you get past the fact that your eating something bizaare you realize that a lot of it is really tasty. I love jellyfish and there is this dish made with thin slices of beef tendon, stomach, and tongue with a spicy sauce that's just fucking awesome.

Nothing wrong with that. It's only North Americans that think eating brain, heart, liver, kidney, and such is disgusting... Other cultures all around the world, even in Europe, eat such parts regularly, since it's been shown that they're actually the helthiest parts of an animal to eat. They taste funny, but they're good for you

Why eat them, if the "normal" parts (the meat and flesh) are just as tasty and good for you?
If i found out it was brains i was eating, i'd be like *fakes heart attack* and when someone goes to call an ambulance, i'd scarper! lol

Never hear of any foods like that over here, even in restaurants and shit! Sounds baaaaad!

ever ate the macdonalds chicken nuggets???? well a couple years ago it was found that they were over 50% intestines and shit so yeah.... atleast your being told what you were eating mickey Ds trys to pass that stuff off as all white meat when in reality its pressed together chicken carcases

And most burgers you buy are cows that have had all the meat taken off them for whole cuts in butchers and to sell in supermarkets, and the burgers you get are just the ground up carcasses lol.
