umm theres a softmod method and theres the method of opening your ps2 and placing a mod chip in there...let me find you some links to help you out...

modding a ps2 internally requires a lot of soldering. so if you dont have experience with that then it would be better to get someone who knows what their doing to help you out. like an electrician or even anyone thats into computers.

^ acutally i believe theres solderless mod chips that just have pin points that u stick in the right spots, at least the xbox has thoughs.

I dont think theres any point in them since its £50 + hassle to fit. when you can get import games for about a tenner.

but dont you need it chipped to be able to play imported games.....it also allows you to play all region dvds....and loads of other shit....hold on ill get the list.....LOL

but yeah does seem expensive for £40-£50....however if you get it....you can just burn games to a blank dvd and play them....which i think is pretty cool!
