    To start over, Press "Sel"

I just turned on my TV for the first time today. I notice that any channel I change to, I'm presented with the option to restart the current program from the beginning. I've tried it. Currently Judging Amy is about 40 minutes into the program and I was able to restart it. I do have DVR but the box wasn't on and it wasn't on this channel, so it doesn't have this episode in it's memory banks. It accessed my cable company for a few seconds and the episode started playing from the beginning. I'm not able to fast forward or anything but I think it's still pretty freakin amazing.

This is with Time Warner Cable in South Carolina. Just thought it was cool.

This was cool until you said you were watching Judging Amy.

LOL. That's just what was on the channel although I've watched it before, sure. I used that as a reference because it was an hour long show, it was 40 minutes in, and yet I was still able to start it over in like 3 seconds. I just thought it was cool.

Although, I've played around with it more and some channels don't give me that option. Perhaps Time Warner is making the individual networks pay big bucks to have their streams captured and delivered on demand.
