Nothing has been altered... The Dead Sea Scrolls prove that much of the Bible has been miraculously preserved. For instance, in the Dead Sea scrolls was found a complete book of Isaiah. This is a hotly debated prophet because of all his references pointing toward the Virgin Birth of Christ Jesus among many other prophesies that were fulfilled regarding Jesus.

Do you think God would let us run around this earth in Darkness w/no direction in life by allowing evil to corrupt his guide for living an upright and decent life? I highly Doubt it, especially since the words explicitly warn people not to change any words in the Bible. Leviticus has some nice, wholesome quotes that espouse some of those good old Christian family values they're always talking about.
