Spider mites
Well I had to harvest a week early because of spider mite's. My grow room is 6 feet long 5 feet wide and 5 feet tall. I have no idea how my crop became infested. Now I have cleaned the room spotless. Is there any steps I can take to keep the lil bastards out of there? Plz help a newb in need.

Well all you can do realy is wash and change b4 going into your grow room if you have been in the garden or a friends grow room b4 hand.
But they will somtimes come in through ventelation .
They are bastards ,once they r in they r in and i found nothing to cure an infested grow room, not even predators.
I spray vehicles for a living , so when my grow room is empty i fill my spray gun with bleach and water 50/50 and spray every square inch including lights and balasts which is very sucsesfull .

well, im not much of an expert on much of anything else, but this one is something i know something about.....A spider mites favorite form of transportation is dust. The problem can become very pronounced in agricultural areas. Do you live in the sticks? A car driving by can send enough dust through your house to cause the problem. Open windows, vent systems....just about any open system in your house can let them in. The best insecticide to use on them is a weak solution of Kelthane....its the same stuff you put in your cats ears for ear mites. Dont use the stuff after your buds are on ,but anytime before that is ok

Thanks 4 the advice. Ill try that. I was also thinking about using a raid flea bomb in there or something. My first few crop's were fine. I got some clone's off a differant person so Im thinking maybe they were already infested when i got them.

Me again.....make sure that if you use kelthane that you use a very weak solution of it.....do not ever use more than the reccomended dosage of the stuff or it will burn the shit out of your plants. Using half to one third of the lable dose will still work without adverse effect.....and it is true that your clones could have already been infected when you got them

Thats interesing Jasper , i never knew they where that easily spread around .
But yea i forgot to say if they are still in veg state then dunk em in soapy water from top to bottom and that is an exellent cure for the lil fuckers but after they are budding there is little hope.

My room is empty right now. Im saying I do not wan't to put new clones back in there till Im sure the lil bastards are gone. So this is what Im thinking Im gona microwave the soil I use, Than dip the new clones in a mixture of sunlite dishsoap and water. And use a RAID insect bomb in the room before I restart my crop.
