requiem for a dream
i have to say i wasn't all that moved by it. it was ok and a well made film and the acting was good but with the exception of the mother i didn't really have that much sympathy for any of the characters when everything went tits up.
the mother wanted to get slim so she took what the doctor gave her without question, so i guess at worst she was naive. the kids though they just wanted to get fucked up and have fun and would have been more aware of the inevitble trainwreck.
life is all about choices and you can blame anyone and everything for becoming a junkie but at the end of the day no one is forcing you to put £100 quids worth of smack up your arm every day.
