Difference in Lighting

Can someone tell me the difference between a 4oo and 600 watt HPS light.
Now obviously its an extra 200 watts! lol
Other than that though, main advantages / disadvantages.
Will the increased wattage create faster budding times and what not?
Or just cater for a larger crop, because I'm only gonna do 10 plants at a time.
