Actually I reckon the rugby players would get hurt. People often compare the two sports and as I play both it pisses me off when British people assume that because of the padding it's a pansy sport. Its not really possible to compare the two sports as the contact in each is different.

Football is alot more of an impact sport and you actually use your helmet as a weapon in some instances, rugby whilst still involving contact tends to be alot less of an impact based sport.
