That's some fucked up shit. Fucking towlheads, why do we feel the need to respect their bullshit? Does that sound like I'm a racist? Sorry, I have nothing against arabs, or blacks, or gays, but religion is something you chose. If you chose to believe that bullshit you deserve to be ridiculed at every turn, it is my mission in life to do just that.

I agree with amsterdam (damn it), this is definitely a thumbs down situation.

"Several students say the pieces â?? some showing young Muslim men with machine guns â?? were downright offensive."

First of all, I doubt that the titles of the pieces were "Muslim Men with Machine Guns" or anything along those lines. Either way this was a photographic exhibition, meaning that these men with machine guns are out there somewhere. If this is a stereotype, then the men in the photo are perpetuating it not the photographer. It's a fact that Muslim people, in Iraq at least, are allowed to own machine guns and many do.

Now I've seen plenty of pictures with rednecks standing around holding guns, but do you see any of them pissing and moaning about it perpetuating the redneck stereotype? No, because they know that some of them do stand around with guns. They're just not in denial about it.

Second of all, contrary to popular belief, people in America don't have the right not to be offended. If you find something offensive, then it you own damn fault, no one elseâ??s

"Salma Habed, 20, of Hoffman Estates said some of the pieces continued with the stereotype that Muslim women are oppressed.

'We go to school. We have careers. Itâ??s not like weâ??re oppressed like some people feel for some reason,' Habed said."

Well of course you do, you live in America, oppression such as that is illegal here. Maybe the statement they were trying to make was not Muslim women in general, but women in Iran are oppressed. But hey I'm no art critic.
