"The Hunting"



Late afternoon.Beginning of summer 1975.The sunshine is blinding.A couple is lying down kissing on a blanket on a grassy hill. A castle sits in the background.The WOMAN takes off her shirt feeling that the spot is secluded enough to do so.The MAN smiles and begins to kiss her chest.The sound of a twig snapping catches the woman's attention.She tells the man that she heard something but he simply brushes it off.They then continue to make out.Suddenly the woman spots a tall,muscular FIGURE standing by a nearby tree.She alerts the man and he tells the mysterious figure to get lost.The figure does not move and the man becomes agitated and approaches him.He stops dead in his tracks when he sees what the mysterious figure is holding in his hands,a huge medieval battle axe.The man starts to back away buts it's already too late,the figure lunges at him and repeatedly strikes him with the axe.The woman screams as blood splatters everywhere.She takes off running but is quickly grabbed by the figure.He carries her kicking and screaming into the castle.

JERRY DANIELS,a tall,skinny teenager,waits for his girlfriend outside of a school.SANDRA DANIELS,an attractive blonde and Jerry's sister,comes up behind him and gives him a playful shove.Dozens of students walk by as Jerry waits for a glimpse of his girlfriend.A green van,radio blasting,pulls up to the curb and begins honking the horn.The driver,GREG TAYLOR,a short,stocky teenager with auburn hair and also Sandra's boyfriend,waves at Jerry and Sandra.They then begin walking towards the van as Jerry spots his girlfriend,BETH WILLIAMS,a petite redhead,sitting in the back seat.Seated next to her was PHILLIP SMITH,an average looking teenager with dirty blonde hair and glasses.Sitting on his lap was STACY ROBERTS,a pretty brunette and Phillip's girlfriend.Sandra gets in the passenger seat next to Greg and leans over and gives him a kiss.Jerry hops in the back next to Beth,Greg drives off.Phillip pulls out a joint and lights it up.He takes a pull and then passes it to Stacy.Jerry explains to his friends how his aunt from Romania invited him and Sandra to come out and stay for a couple of weeks for the summer vacation.He then asks if anyone else would like to come along.Beth,Greg,Stacy and Phillip agree to accompany them.

The next day,Greg,Beth,Stacy and Phillip wait outside Jerry and Sandra's house.Greg starts to become impatient and honks the horn repeatedly.Sandra comes jogging out of the house with a suitcase in hand followed by Jerry.Sandra hands Jerry her suitcase and he puts the suitcases in the back of the van and they get in.The van drives down the narrow road of the suburban neighborhood and makes it's way towards the busy highway.Stacy soaks in the surroundings.Greg tells a joke and they all laugh.They soon arrive at the airport and board the plane.Off to Romania they go not aware of the horror they will soon face.

Several hours later,the plane enters Romania's airspace.The group of friends exit the airplane and take in the magnificent scenery.Greg tells Sandra to call her aunt and get directions while him and Jerry see about renting a van.She nods and begins her search for a payphone.Beth spots a nearby cafe and decideds that they should wait there for Greg and Jerry.Half an hour later,Jerry and Greg show up in a blue,slightly beat up van.They all hop in.Phillip,concerned,questions Greg about the van's performance.Greg explains to him that it was the last one they had left.After a few hours of driving,Jerry insists that they must be lost.The sky grows dark as raindrops begin to fall.Greg starts to become very frustrated due to the current situation at hand.The rainfall gets heavier and makes the road hard to see.Suddenly,a bolt of lightning illuminates the dark night and reveals a shadowy figure carrying something darting across the dirt road.Greg panics and swerves to avoid hitting the man.The van ends up on the side of the pitch black road with smoke pouring from the engine.The near-death experience leaves the group of teenagers in a daze.A few seconds later they come to.Jerry gets out and examines the engine.The rest of the teenagers get out to see what condition the engine is in.Jerry informs them that the engine is blown and there is nothing that he can do.Another bolt of lightning lights up the shadowy area unveiling a castle.The storm does not let up and the teenagers decide to seek refuge in the nearby castle.Little did they know,they were being watched the whole time by an ominous figure.

They walk for a bit before they reach the entrance to the castle.Standing before them are a pair of huge,ancient looking wooden doors.In the center of these doors lay a huge metal knocker.Sandra grabs the knocker and gently raps on the door.No one answers.She knocks again but this time she knocks harder.Again there is no answer,the teenagers start to walk away but quickly turn around when they hear the creaking of the door opening.OLOFF BROZOWSKI,a short,creepy man appears in the doorway.Jerry startled by Oloff's presence,hesitates for a moment before explaining the van situation.Oloff invites them in.He leads them down a long,narrow,palely lit hallway into a brightly lit room decorated with medieval artifacts.Stacy walks over to the fireplace to warm up a bit.Suddenly,she is frightened by a voice coming out of the shadows next to the fireplace.Out walks,YURI STUBBE,a tall,long haired,thickly bearded man with a huge scar over his left eye.He apologizes to Stacy for scaring her.Oloff informs Yuri of the teenagers current situation and he offers them to spend the night and they gladly accept.Yuri tells Oloff to show them to their rooms and he obliges.Oloff motions for the teenagers to follow him as he picks up a lantern and walks to a door.He opens the door,exposing the teenagers to a foul odor emitting from the hallway.Phillip whispering to Jerry,makes a joke about the smell.Jerry laughs outloud but stops when Oloff turns around.They pass very eery paintings on the wall and Stacy,feeling uneasy,holds Phillip tightly.The bunch then come to a staircase and ascend it.While climbing the steps,Sandra notices a crest on the wall and an axe seems to be missing as she can see a dust outline of it but she pays it no mind.They reach the top and Oloff puts each couple in their own room.As he leaves he warns them not to leave their rooms.

Sandra and Greg examine their room.It's quite large and looks as if it hasn't been used in centuries.Greg undresses and hangs his clothes on the mantle of the fireplace so that they can dry,Sandra does the same.He then hops on the bed and makes himself comfortable.Sandra rubs her arms while continuing to wander around the room.She explains to Greg that she has a bad vibe about the castle and he insists that she come to bed and get some rest.She listens and climbs into bed.Jerry,relieved to finally have some privacy,kisses Beth.They undress,climb under the covers and begin to fool around.Phillip sits in a large throne-like chair rolling a joint.Stacy studies a disturbing painting hanging over the fireplace.In the painting,an executioner is beheading a man with an axe while surrounded by spectators.She explains to Phillip that the painting is creeping her out and tries to persuade him to take it down.After a few minutes of constant nagging,he fufills her request.He lights up the joint and begins smoking it,takes a few pulls and offers it to Stacy.She declines,stating that it will only make her more terrified of the castle.Phillip laughs at her and continues smoking.A few minutes later he finishes the joint and gets a sudden craving to explore the castle.He tries to talk Stacy into joining him but she refuses.She pleads with him to stay but his mind was already made up,he grabs the flashlight and makes his way into the hallway.Stacy goes to the bed and sits down.

In another part of the massive castle,a woman,dirty and bloody,lay on the floor.She awakens,unaware of her location,only to find herself chained to the wall.An unbearable stench makes her gag.The woman looks around and is horrified at what she sees.Corpses upon corpses,mutilated and decaying,lay all around her.A pile of bones sit in the corner.The walls and floor covered with what looks like dried blood.A wooden bucket lay on it's side with assorted organs spilling from the inside.In the fireplace,over a burning fire,a cauldron hang.Sticking out of the cauldron is a human arm.The woman,too terrified to scream,tries to free herself by tugging on the chain but there is no give.She fears her end is near so she does not give up.The door flies open and in walks,THE EXECUTIONER,carrying a dead girl in his blood soaked arms.He looks over at the woman,paralyzed in fear,walks over to a wooden table and dumps the body on top of it.He then turns his attention to the cauldron,heads over to it and grabs the arm.He removes his mask and begins feasting on it,ripping chunks of flesh with his rotted teeth.The executioner drops the mutilated arm on the floor and goes over to the bucket.He sticks his hand inside,pulls out a heart and begins chowing on that.All the woman can do is watch this horrid beast consume this human organ with no remorse.He looks at the woman once again and smiles,blood runs down his chin.The ghastly man makes his way over to the woman who begins to scream uncontrollably.

Stacy,startled by the faint screams,walks around the room,investigating where the sounds might have come from.She heads over to the fireplace and examines the mantle.She then looks inside and finds a sack,heavily covered with dust and ashes.Stacy pulls the sack out and dumps the contents on the floor.A mixture of jewelery,wallets and a few pieces of candy lay there.She picks up a wallet,opens it and finds a woman's id.She picks up another one,opens it and this time finds a man's id.Stacy begins to think that something strange is going on.She is about to pick up another wallet when she spots something next to it,human teeth.Stacy gasps and rushes out of the room.She bursts into Sandra and Greg's room.Stacy,frantic,explains to them what she had found and heard.She demands that they leave right away.Sandra tries to calm her down and tells Greg to check it out.He gets dressed,grabs his flashlight and enters the chillsome hallway.Jerry recieves a knock on the door,he ignores it.The knocking does not cease,Jerry,annoyed,gets up and answers the door.Greg explains the situation to Jerry.He dresses and accompanies Greg to Stacy's room.There they find the jewelery,wallets and human teeth.A feeling of dread comes over them.They decide to investigate a bit further.Greg covers one half of the room while Jerry covers the other half.Jerry steps on something and almost loses his balance.He shines the flashlight on the unknown object,a bone.At the same time,Greg notices a streak of what appears to be dried blood leading into the fireplace.The two then decide that it's time to leave.Jerry goes to his room,gets Beth and heads to Greg's room.Greg explains to the girls what he and Jerry found and that they're leaving.Sandra tells Stacy to go get Phillip,she then informs the group of his tour of the castle.The teenagers split up to go search for Phillip,Sandra goes with Greg.

The light from Phillip's flashlight pierces the darkened hallway,he comes to a wooden door,slightly open.He peeks inside but cannot see a thing.Phillip pushes the door open and enters the cold,dreary room.The room appears to be full of medieval torture devices.Intrigued,he begins to fiddle with death inducing instruments.A putrid odor fills the room,it catches Phillip's attention.He begins to cough and covers his mouth with his hand.He surveys the room,wondering where the smell is suddenly coming from.A strong wind slams the door shut,Phillip,surprised by the noise,drops his flashlight.He bends down to pick it up,unware that the executioner is standing behind him.Phillip stands up and is immediately grabbed by the executioner.He tries to fight him off but the executioner's strength is inhuman.The executioner drags him over to the guillotine,locks his head in place and unfastens the rope holding the blade.Phillip begs for his life,the executioner sinisterly grins and lets go of the rope.The blade comes crashing down,severing Phillip's head from his body.Blood sprays from the decapitated corpse,the executioner lets out a bone chilling howl.The wicked scream echoes throughout the castle.Hearing this,a chill runs down the teenager's spine.They continue their search for the already dead Phillip.Jerry warns Beth and Stacy to stay close.The trio,not conscious of it,is being followed.The girls begin to argue,Jerry hears a sound coming from behind them.They quickly grow silent,terrified of what may be lurking in the shadows.The sound gets closer and closer,they stand there,frozen in fear.Oloff walks out of the darkness.The teenagers are somewhat relieved.Jerry explains to Oloff that Phillip left his room to look around the castle and they are simply concerned about him,Oloff demands that they go back to their rooms at once.The teenagers refuse,Oloff,again demands that they go back to their rooms before it is too late.The trio of teens is baffled by Oloff's warning.Another shriek catches the teenager's attention,giving Oloff the chance to disappear into pitch-dark hallway.When they turn around,Oloff,is gone.

Sandra and Greg come to an open door,suspecting Phillip might be inside,they call out his name but there is no response,so they enter the room.Sandra marvels at the various torture devices,asking Greg what each one does.He replies with a confused look on his face and a shrug of the shoulders.They come to the guillotine,covered with blood.A feeling of dismay overcomes them.The couple turns around and runs to the door,which is being blocked off by the executioner.Feeling that they're in danger,Greg steps in front of Sandra.The executioner takes a step foward,Greg leaps at him,attacking him ferociously.Greg tries to wrestle with the large man but is thrown to side with tremendous ease.The executioner,with an unpleasant smile,focuses on Sandra.She backs up until she bumps into the wall,encasing her between two torture contraptions.The executioner closes in on Sandra,unable to move,awaits her doom.He extends his hand outward towards Sandra,who cowers in the tight space.A spear is rammed into the executioner's back,he lets out a pain filled scream.Sandra takes the opportunity to make her escape.The executioner,furiously,tries to remove the spear from his back.Sandra sprints towards the doorway with Greg right behind her.The executioner finally gets a hold of the spear and pulls it out of his back.Greg nears the door,in a split second,the spearhead penetrates his body,entering thru his back and exiting thru his abdomen.The executioner,seeing that Greg is still alive,picks up his limp body by his shirt and drags him,one handed,over to the most infamous and excruciating instrument of death,the headcrusher.He lodges Greg's head inbetween the floor and device's grip and begins twisting the handle.The grip comes down slowly,tightening Greg's head against the floor.Greg cries out in pain as his skull begins to crack.He lets out a final bloodcurling scream as his skull shatters.Sandra,hearing this,stops and dashes back to the room.She approaches the doorway very slowly,the executioner comes barreling out,axe in hand.Sandra screams and takes off running with the executioner giving chase.All she could here is the heavy breathing of her assailant in pursue.She comes to a fork in the hallway and quickly makes the decision to go right,the executioner continues to the left.Sandra,relieved that she managed to escape,comes to a gargoyle statue and a dead end.She hopelessly begins to cry but stops instantly when she hears a metal scraping noise.The executioner,scraping his axe against the wall,is making his way towards her.She backs into the statue,accidently tips it over but it doesn't fall instead a small entrance opens up next to it.Quickly,she ducks into the secret opening and it closes in the nick of time.The executioner looks around and then doubles back.A torch burns brightly on the wall,Sandra goes over to it and picks it up and heads down the maze of hallways.The smell of decaying corpses lingers in the air.After a few minutes of trooping it thru the stench filled hallways,she comes to a stop at wooden door.She carefully pushes it open,takes a few steps inside and is bombarded by the grisly imagery of this particular room.

The charred logs crackle in the fireplace,Yuri,lost in thought,stands there.Oloff rushes to his side and fills in Yuri on the present situation.He does not budge and continues to stare at the roaring fire.The executioner,pondering who his next victim will be, stalks the trio of teens from the shadows.He eyes Jerry,thinking with him out of the way,the girls will be easy pickings.Jerry passes and quickly notices,an iron maiden.He points it out to the girls,the exectioner,comes soaring out of the darkness.He grabs Jerry and forcefully shoves him in the iron maiden.Caught off-guard,Jerry,goes flailing back-first into the spikes.He cries out in excruciating pain.Stacy and Beth,screaming hysterically,stand there helplessly.The executioner closes the doors of the iron maiden.The spikes on the doors are driven into Jerry's already pierced body.Blood runs from the holes and starts to form a puddle at the foot.The girls continue to stand there and scream.The executioner,waiting for one of them to run, stares down the girls as if he was toying with them.Beth snaps out of her frightened frame of mind and takes off running.Stacy,taking a cue from Beth,starts to run too but it is too late,the executioner,has Stacy by the throat.He throws her against the wall,tightening his grip,removes the pear from his belt.(The pear was a device that expanded after being inserted orally, anally, or vaginally. It was used to rupture the sensitive membranes and tissues of these areas. With much of the damage being inside the body cavity, "confessions" thus extracted could seem to be freely given).The grim beast rips off Stacy's pants while continuing to hold her against the wall.She tries to put up a fight but he is too powerful.The executioner rams the pear into Stacy's vagina,the volume of her screams is deafening.Blood runs down her bare legs,this seems to bring much pleasure to the executioner.He pulls out the pear,now covered in blood and jams it into her mouth.The life drains from the eyes of Stacy.He retracts his arm and watches as her lifeless body falls to the floor.Two more to go,the executioner thinks to himself.For a heavy-set man,the executioner's speed is unbelievable.A few steps behind Beth,cat's paw in hand,he swipes at her.(About as large as four fingers of a manâ??s hand, these devices, usually attached to a short handle, served to rip the victimâ??s flesh to shreds and to strip it off the bones, in any part: face, abdomen, back, limbs, breasts).Pieces of flesh are torn from her back.Fueled by adrenaline,Stacy does not feel it and continues to run.The executioner,calculatively,swipes lower this time,catching the back of her left thigh.Stacy tumbles to the floor.The executioner stands over her battered body,smiles and has his way with her.Unrelentingly,he slashes away at Stacy.Chunks of flesh and blood cling to the cat's paw.

Sandra stands in a nightmarish scene.Bodies shackled to the wall,dried blood stains on the floor and walls,varies limbs litter the place and bones scattered about,the executioner's lair.It was like a glimpse of hell itself.She stands there,trance-like,eyes darting back and forth,looking for a way out of this chamber of death.Sandra catches some movement from the corner of her eye,it's a woman.Her condition appears to be critical.She whispers to Sandra and points to something,a wall.Sandra,knowing death is imminent for the young woman,attempts to comfort her.The sound of heavy breathing and footsteps catches Sandra's ears.The woman points again to the wall and her hand drops,she is dead.She rushes to the wall and with all her might,pushes.The heavy stone door scrapes the floor as it opens.To her amazement,it leads to the room she and Greg were staying in.The executioner enters his lair,sees the secret door open,grabs his axe and gives chase.Sandra exits the room,runs thru the hallway,down the steps and bumps into a shadowy figure.She screams hysterically and flails her arms wildly.Yuri,tries to calm her down.She tells Yuri that a killer is on the loose and he's right behind her.Yuri looks,no one is there,he shows Sandra.There is not a sound,only silence.She demands he call the police,Yuri nods,leads her into a room and locks the door behind him.Exhausted,Sandra,leans against the wall.Yuri apologizes for the grief his brother has caused.It takes a moment to sink in Sandra's brain what was just said.She bolts for the door,locked,Yuri grabs her by the hair and slams her head into the wooden door a few times.Unconscious,she crashes to the floor.Sandra,groggy,awakes in the executioner's lair.There he stands,unmasked,his face hideously deformed,along with Yuri and Oloff.The metal shackles feel cold against her skin.Sandra screams at the top of her lungs,the executioner,smiles and approaches her.
