Economy is rocking and rolling!!
Thanks. I've enjoyed it as well. Like with most people, we see some things in the same light, and some things we disagree on. I just don't get emotionally wrapped up in anything other than my own actions. We can't force politicians to do the right thing, no matter what their party is.

What is this "economy" you speak of? My sources say it's just a myth.

i'm confused.
i can find these articles that say the economy is just ok, yet there are all these OTHER pieces that illustrate just how many hundreds of thousands of jobs have been lost.
does exxon buying up its own stock count as "increased business investment"?
does the haliburton five-year no-bid contract (which are typically given out for ONE year) to clean up the gulf count as "increased business investment"?
does my dad's eight+ month long search for work in manufacturing management in the NE count as "good jobs available"?
does a major corporation's "relocating" of its headquarters to a carribean island to avoid paying taxes to the US gov't count as "increased business investment"?
the economy IS rockin'.... if you're in the upper 5-10% income bracket.
as for the rest of the country, keep on contributing! the rich really, REALLY appreciate it.

Here's my situation. I am a married THINKER:
Two Healthy Incomes No Kids Early Retirement
I plan to retire from my current position and work part-time and/or volunteer, when I reach my mid fifties.
Just some quick advice for the young guys and gals just starting out: keep out of debt! If you can't afford to buy something outright with cash, skip it. Only use credit if you can pay it off in full anytime you want. Many relationship problems, and divorces, are caused by money problems.

I'm simply saying that the choice of living childfree worked out for me. Although I wasn't drawing any universal conclusions about other lifestyles, I would unequivocally say that many people that have become parents would have been better off, in various ways, if theyâ??d had less, or no, children. Of course, most parents love their kids very much â?? and are usually unwilling to consider this.
