Vioxx (rofecoxib) is a nonsteriodal anti-inflammatory drug. It is the same class of drug as Ibuprofen and has about the same recreational value (none). Rofecoxib selectively inhibits the COX-2 enzyme responsible for the production of prostaglandins which seem to play a role in pain and inflammation.

Opioids such as hydrocodone and oxycodone are much different. These drugs work by binding to opioid receptors in the brain, the consequence is euphoria and feelings of warm fuzzyness.
Nullific Reviewed by Nullific on . keep getting sick for Pk's It seems that whenever i do painkillers like hydrocodone or oxycodone i either get a really good buzz or i get really sick and vomit. It's weird because i use to do painkillers all the time and i didn't get sick. Is there some thing that i can do to take away the nausea. maybe take it on an empty stomach or something, or take it with food? Rating: 5
