I read somewhere that when cats rub against you, they're sort of marking you as territory. Not sure if I really believe that though. With the purring and all, it's nice to think there's some affection there.

You're deprived of information man, you know when your cat walks about (like mine do) the house rubbing the sides of it's mouth on the corners of things? That's rubbing the scent and marking the territory.. If you watch them first they'll sniff it to make sure no one else has it, and to make sure they haven't marked it recently, then rub against it.

Honestly i believe my cats love me just as much as i do them
