There was when I was there. Matanuska Thunderfuck was the strain I heard most about.

Not much to do in Alaska especially in the wintertime, so lots of people grow.

Laws are more relaxed there too. I remember these cops busted a house party I was at and there was a big bag of weed with a huge skull bong on the coffee table which the cops definitely noticed. They were only concerned if any minors were drinking though. They were cool. told us all to keep it down and whatnot. I was so scared I almost shit myself.
