I was watching the Daily Show yesterday, and they discussed about how when the founding fathers got together to discuss their plans for politics, they would actually debate for hours. Each would listen to the opinions of the other and they would eventually reach a conclusion, they wouldn't argue, they would debate. Isn't that something?
Now it's all about pleasing as many people as possible, not so much standing up for what you believe in.
Sad.

Ever watch the Senate or Congress do a "so called" debate on TV? Passing minutes back and forth....looks real good...till they do a shot of the rest of the room. EMPTY except for the few ready to talk.

No, politicians are power hungry leeches that attach themselves to a society and suck the life out of it. Here's the thought process of a politician: "Some say that I shouldn't do this because it's bad for America. But I'm and American and it's good for me, so how could it be bad for America? They must be anti-American!" Oh, and they argue allot.
