How do ppl have accents?

over here people say mou'n instead of mountain and libary instead of library

Everybody from my mountains also say mou'n. I used to say libary too but I stopped when I was like 8.

Ever since I moved to Buffalo I've been plagued by the horrific accent people have around here. They can't pronounce vowels right. They say "pat" instead of "pot" and "pay-at" instead of "pat". It's so annoying.
