my parents keep on doing everything in there annoying power to make me stop smoking, i havent smoke in a couple days now and theyre still just bringing it up and annoying the shit outta me. i tell em i dont wanna talk about it, that smoking is a private ritual to me, they just dont wanna hear it. it seems no matter wat i say, it gets overpowered by a simple "well its illegal." seems like no matter wtf i say or do, theyll hate it. its not there businness and when they had no idea i smoke life was great. now there all sad all day and shit im like get the fuck over it fuckin emo bitch rents

when they didnt no, i would be high 24/7 and life was sooo good and they couldnt tell a difference. but now when i smoke theyll be weird around me for days thinkin im still high or something, dude i was high around them all the time...wat should i do, i dont wanna quit and i want them to fuck off so how do i handle this? we've already talked and talked, theyve talked my fuckin balls off and i just wanna fuckin smoke

Aaah I feel your pain.
My mum, her fiancé and my dad are all the same. I moved out when I was 17 because of this, it fucks up your buzz when your parents are always checking your eyes to see if they are blazed or the contents of the cupboards to see if they have disappeared!
If you can afford it, move out, if not â?? well, save up all the money you would have spent on weed for a flat!

Just go out n walk the dog or a jog or whatever the fuck ya like to do, and go smoke then. No point in arguing with em about it though if you already know its pointless. "alright, Ill stop smoking if you just shut up about it" itll tick em off but they will think they have won the battle. but whether ya like it or not its their house, so try n keep it outside, or at least make sure they dont know.

The way to really do it is attend ONE AA meeting and say it's not your thing but you quit and you understand.

Then go toke up.

Shit I go to AA every now and then with my mom just so she doesn't suspect anything with my eating and sleeping habits and whatnot.

Stop being a spoiled bitch for starters. You live in their house, have the decency to at least talk about the problems that are obviously concerning them and is their business so long as your living in their house.
Treating your parents like shit by saying, "it's my private ritual" won't do anything but upset them--

If your parents are adamant about keeping you away from drugs, talk about it and then smoke out of the house or when they're asleep.

If their willing to listen, talk it out and explain things to them.

Jesus, guys-- I'm still in college and even I can tell that this behavior is inexcusable. Cut that melodramatic shit out about parents buying into the government's lies and all that shit-- maybe, MAYBE their concerned about you? Maybe they care about you and don't want one thing to lead to another? Ever thought of that? Nah, probably not since prior to this whole thing, you were stoned 24/7 as you so eloquently put it.

Hell, my parents will bust a nut if they find out I smoke. My parents Im sure used to smoke but now they choose to be who they are and that is fine. It is the parents 'job' to say 'stick away from drugs.' They say this even though they know you wont. Its just to cover their ass if you fuck up somehow and it comes back to the parents :-)

My parents freaked when they first found out I smoked. Having a cop bring me home in the middle of the night after being busted for possesion didn't help either. There was nothing quite like the look my Pop's face as the cop was explainng why he was standing at the front door with me. We continued a never ending cycle of my parents catching me, punishing me, and then catching me again until I finally moved out of their house.

That was 15 years ago and, despite my terrible relationship with my parents back then, we get along great now. In addition to time healing the wounds between me and my parents, becommng a parent myself has made me understand a few things. I know this sounds pretty lame, but your parents only want you to quit smoking because they care about you. I know that it is hard to understand and accept when you're young but the moment you have a little one of your own it becomes so apparent. Suddenly all the things your parents did suddenly make a lot of sense.

I gotta agree Fengzi and Zooted, quit your bitchin Your parents are just worried your going to get stoned, do something stupid, and get in trouble with the cops or even get hurt. You don't have to quit but at least say you did and keep it hidden as best you can, so that they can rest easy about the situation.
