harvesting, cutting

I'm thinking about growning me some reefer but i'm not too sure about it yet. I just want to know everything about it before hand,you know. I know alot about pretty much it all but, not too much on harvesting it. I was told by some people whenever the top buds are fully mature to cut them off and let the bottom ones keep growing. That this would increase the yeild. But then i was told not to ever cut the plant becuase you could kill it.

Someone give me some advice on this, please :smokin:

yeah man you do cut the ripe buds off to let the lower ones mature.
cutting the plant will not kill it, pruning is very important!
