    Any Criticisms, Problems

Hey, just postin so someone could let me know if anythin wrong with my grow setup etc.
This is my first grow, im groing in a wardrobe, around 5 ft 6' tall, 2ft deep and 3ft5' wide. Planning to grow 3 plants under 400w HPS light, is that sufficient, is that the best light to use, can i grow more than 3 plants under that? Will wardrobe height be an issue?

I have one ventilation fan above fan for ventilation, do i need a normal fan to blow on the plats?, if so does the fan need to be inside the wardrove or outside blowing on it?

I'm paying $225 Australian dollars for the light setup, is this reasonable, or should i purchase from the internet?

Soil mix is 75% streilized potting mix 25% perlite

Does the plant need to be sprayed at any stage with anything, or is watering the soil sufficient?

Does the growroom need co2 supplements in it?

Im thinkin ill either paint the wardrobe inside white, or line with alfoil?

Any probs with this anyone can see or any advice would be awesome, cheers

The lighting will be more than sufficient, but it's not that good to use HPS in veg state.. Get some CFL, then the plants wont stretch that much and will focus on the roots in veg..

I don't know about the soil (very new at growing) you'll just have to wait for Zandor or someone on that one.

    225$ isn't that much, mine costerd 150 £... Isn't that more?

But seriously, get some CFL, or a fluor tube.. That will make a hell of alot of difference in the first stage.. If you have the money, get A MH (Metal Halide)..

    And a good fertilizer..!

    Cheers, And happy growing!!

hey, what's up? 400w is good, but PP is right...HPS will allow more stretching at young age,,,some cfl's 1" above seedlings will allow them to root and fill out
before you set them under an HID, but it won't be that bad if you just use the 400w...imho
You need a small fan moving air inside the cabinet; to keep the canopy cool and to exercise your plants, this will allow them to grow strong stalks
flat white paint is alot better than alfoil and mix your soil/perlite 50/50...
...hope this helps...are you ready for all the work?.peace

you don't want to buy anything other then nirvana for your first go... I'd choose a heavy indica.. also the size of the plants is really depcited by when you flower them.. if you flower when they are 1 foot tall they will nearly triple by the time they finish.. etc etc

so how long should i keep my plants under cfs lighting, when should i switch to HPS, as well would say 4, 30W cfs lights be sufficient for 8 plants till i switch over
Do u think it would be better to simply buy a HPS/MH conversion light that can handle both types or wat
    Cheers

You could do a SCRoG or a SoG if you're worried about the height... ???justasuggestion...
