Did I get high? (n00b question, we all gotta learn)

Sorry for the newb question but yesterday I went to smoke a joint. It was my second time. My first time I didn't feel anything.
Ok so I rolled my joint (it was 1 gram) it came out nice. (i've been practising with tea/parsley, basil anything I couild find after my first joint came out horrible.

Ok, so I lit it up took a few hits after I was done, I felt nothing. My throat felt like it was on fire, and I got slight pains in my lungs.

After about 15 minutes, My mouth was dry as fuck and my throat felt all slimey and weird.

after about 30 minutes, I felt sort of tipsyish and took me a while to make out the words that were coming out of my mouth, I would start a sentence and forget what I was saying MANY TIMES. Meanwhile my friend was calling me a bulllshitter cause my eyes weren't red, But I really felt weird. I enjoyed it, I felt numb on my legs and could have just lied down and slept, also my dick felt tingly and then had to pee real bad. (dunno if it's relevant but I don't just get that urge to pee urgently in a few seconds) My mouth was dry and all I had in my pocket was a snackbar. We walked to my friends house and I was feeling relaxed. My friend was still calling me a bullshitter cause my eyes weren't red, we got to shi house, I drank a bottle of water and ate pizza.

Was I high, or ws it just a placebo effect or something? I think I was high (and everything is true and not exagerated) My riend is convinced I was faking it, but I really felt something. So does red eyes mean you are high or does it happen at times?

Sorry long post, but I had to ask.

I have a couple friends whose eyes don't go red when they smoke, no matter how high they get.

It sounds to me like you got baked. Tell me-- did the pizza taste a lot better than normal?

Yeah man, it sounds like you definately got high. And yeah, some people's eye's don't get red. Some people's eyes look great, in fact. My eyes, however, get so red they look almost purple.

And I get BLAZED all the time my eyes don't get red...they drop really low but they don't get red. NORMALLY that is.

Right there, when you start looking inside of yourself to see what's wrong, you've been affected by the weed, the conversation inside your head means that you're high. :rasta:
