New house -Looked at & Designing growroom

Hey everyone, I recently had a peek at the trailer I will be buying to live in for the next 6-9 months.

I dont have much room given that its a trailer and you cant do much with it but here are my plans.

I plan on growing 1 mother so I can clone off and grow the clones out and force flower so I can harvest lots with little plants.

    Lighting
Mother - 400w MH to veg constantly. (24hrs light)
Clones - 650w MH for 1 week, 500w HPS for flower.

    Plants & Strains
I plan on growing 6-7 plants , 6-7 clones that will be taken off of the mother and be potted into soil. Yes this is a soil grow.
I am thinking about doing a Bubba Kush strain as I have seen KindKid1's photos of his stock( I think its his ).

    Potting
For the mother I plan to germinate putting her into a jar of water for 24hours to soften the shell & easier sprouting. I will be planting 3 seeds to make sure I get a female.

Potting for the mother I am going to use a 2gal bucket for seedling.
Also plan to transplant into a 5gal bucket after I see some rooting in the 2gal.

Potting for the clones I will be using 3gal buckets for the whole grow.

    Growroom Size
For my grow room size I have 6x6x6ft room to use.

If you have any suggestions please let me know, or anything else I should be needing throughout this grow. There are some unmentioned things right now but I am about to head out the door with a friend to chill with some chicks so dont got time, will post it later.

    Potting:
Hey Joel, nice to see you're going to grow in your trailer.

For germination, I followed KindKid1's FAQ that's located in Overgrow.com
You put a glass of water with one drop of SuperThrive.... then throw your seeds in there. After about 12 hours, I had to agitate the water a little bit and all of them went under water to the bottom.

Just as you're saying, I planted 5 seeds to make 'sure' I get a female. One of those seeds, well, it already bit the dust. The other four are growing right now. Those four, when they're a little bigger, I'm going to take one clone from each to determine sex. Those clones I give them 12/12... Once I know the sex, I know which 'mother' plant is female. I kill off the males (if any) and start my grow.

I guess that's what you're going to do.

    Laters,

Hey a turtle, yes I do plan on using that technique for germination, just never thought to put a drop of Superthrive

I will force the sex by cloning doing the same thing you just said, and trashing the mails of course.

Glad to hear you call it a trailer...I am buying a house and in the ads most people call trailers - ranches...They are not ranches...!

Anyway..seeing how you only have 1 story, its easy for pigs and other idiots to peek in the window...I suggest growing pricker bushes or roses under every window...that el teach em.

And it will add to the value of your property when you sell it.
Keep your friends close ... and keep your enemies closer !

Hey stupids, glade to see some people have some intrest in this thread and it wasnt a complete waiste of my time.

I cannot plant those plants and have them there yearly because where I live, we get snow, and snow is a nogo with plant growing (obviously).

I think Im just going to build higher fence than it is , use tinfoil to cover my window as we use it to keep light out of our rooms so they will not suspect anything.

I already recieved 150grand for selling my previous home and only paid 30grand for this thing, wich leaves me with a total of 120grand to do what I want, other than pay the rent and the bills and that bullshit.

    Joel,

In my house, I have "black-out curatins" on the windows... the things stop light completely... they're the same material used in hotels for their windows. Maybe that'll help you.

I picked them up @ Walmart... to be honest, go there. I tried a couple of other places and nobody had them.... many people had never even heard of them!

Anyways, in Walmart, in the section of the "curtains" or that shit. Again, they're called "Blackout Drapes" or "Blackout Curtains".

BTW: two 30"x6feet drape costs $30.... I know, I know... but, what the hell... they work wonderfully. I spent $60 on 4 of those things...

hey joel, I guess one could argue you can never have enough, but I think your lighting is a bit overkill. Certainly to maintain one Mother, a 250w MH will do the job. You didn't mention a second room, which you'll need to maintain the different light cycle of the mother. So u'll probably use a closet which will need good heat ventilation even with the 250w. For 6 or 7 clones a 600w HPS will do great, although if your going to overkill, the flowering is more justifiable.

    Peace

Hey snowowl, I forgot to mention my mothers chamber that I have been constructing over the past few days. Its in the closet that is directly across from the room that I game growing my clones in, it is 3'x4'3.

Snow, I plan on using the 500w MH for the mother because I've decided not to veg my clones and just to force flower them, to have a steady supply of bud. Anyways the reason I plan on using the 500w MH my main gal, I will be taking constant clones from here every 6-7 weeks, so she has to be in prime condition! If she starts to over grow, I will change the lighting to a 250w MH and that will be that.

Turtle : I think I'll stick to my tinfoiled windows because I do not want to spend 30$ on drapes...
