someone anyone tell me, why do you think gay people 'deserve' what they get from homophobes and christians? they're normal people, with needs like everyone else....i don't want any answers like 'cuz it says in the bible' ....becasue well i could write a book, about my god and how he says it's bad to use the word "lama" ....if you're hating gay people, and such becasue the bible says so, and on no means do you have any REAL reason to hate them..then i really do feel sorry for you....

Apart from Christianity, I think homopbia is instilled early on in adolescents through peer pressure to be "masculine". If you do something antithetical to the "macho, male model"-for example, say writing poetry, or taking ballet lessons, you're labeled "queer," or "fag". And to fit in and feel better about your own sexuality, you might start accepting common attitudes towards homosexuality.

It's really sad that it's accepted in society to harass gay people too. Just watch TV, you won't hear very many racial slurs, but I'm sure you'll find a lot of queer jokes. It just seems to be accepted by the general population that being gay is wrong, just like being black was wrong in the past. Hopefully someday people will come to understand our differences and we'll all get together.

I have no problem with them, i have quite a few close friends who are gay (or getting there ), i think you will find most people have no problem with them either but it is an easy source of humor.

I make gay jokes all the time, that doesnt meen i have anything against them.

i write poetry as well, mines all dark and gloomy tho since my artistic side is fueled by my depression (as many great artists in the past have been..) and i'm married with a kid and don't find guys attractive...how can you be gay just for writing on a peice of paper? i guess it goes back to "women are supposed to be emotional and the man a fuckin rock who never whimpers in pain, turns away in fear, or releases what they truly feel"

I have no problems with gay people till one tries to hit on me... That I dont mess with. Still then I dont hate that person I just steer clear from the queer. (FYI: I have been hit on by a gay person before, very very uncomfortable situation cause they know I am straight)

Just because you can interpret The Bible to mean homosexuality is wrong, doesn't mean that God doesn't still Love all of His children.

God Love Homosexuals as much as other Homosapiens.

And usually, when a gay guy thinks I'm cute, I find out through a girl.
I usually answer with "that's nice".

My best mate's gay and I still tease him about it... I just don't mean it as anything more than teasing and he knows it. He teases me about -not- being gay, so it kinda works out.

It's fucked up that so many people think it's some kind of crime to be gay, and to be fair it's mainly the chavs round here that hassle Jamie (best mate). He's got some of the best come back lines ever though, credit due to him. It's funny to see the chavs' expressions, and it's okay for him 'cause he's confident and not in the least bit insecure about his sexuality. What about the people who aren't though? It's so annoying to know that if you just stand up and tell them where to stick it they'll shut up and retreat with their tail between their legs, but so many people are afraid to do that. *grr*
