    lol
I'm alrite, I should have stayed out of this. damn
amstron Reviewed by amstron on . The Getto Grow Ok, we've been setting up a ghetto grow, and we have been germinating seeds. We've got 2 reasonably healthy looking little seedlings. We bought a light in, a 125w CFL, tinfoiled up the cupboard, and now we're rolling. We'll put some pics up in the next few days, and we'd greatly apprieciate any input on how to improve things, what we're doing wrong, etc. Think of this as an interactive online grow :p ! Thanks :rasta: Rating: 5

Can you answer some questions for us...

-The carzy leaf going brown kinda round the edges, this has been happing to quite alot of the sets. Not so much on the bush at the bottom. Any ideas.... nutrients?

-Can it been seen as to what sort of strain we have? Indica/sativa? The seeds were random ones, we have no idea what they are.... any information anyone could provide would be good to know.

-Do you think it should be re potted soon? In a bucket maybe?

-And gender, we are still unsure about. The camera is shit so we can get good pics....

This is our first grow so we dont know massive amounts....

The plants look alright, with as little knowledge and experience I think your doing quite a good job. I'd check the soil ph, and make sure that your using the correct amount of nutrients. Too much nutrients can kill a plant, so can too much water. Root systems need a clean (free of parasitic fungi) oxygenated, and nutrient rich environment to survive. Overwatering a plant promotes anarobic bacteria growing around the root system and the suffication of root systems. This can be prevented by a well designed watering schedule and protected soil. The introduction of mycorhizal fungi would greatly increase yeild, health, and growth rate of the plant. Check out a product called mycogrow. Thats only if you want to abandon your ghetto grow nature and move to a more professional and scientific method of soil growing.

Basically check that the soil is nutritious but not too nutrious.
Then create a good watering schedule with clean water, (not tap water depending on where you are this can greatly hinder growth)
Then do what you can to protect the root system from fungi and bacteria.

cheers for the reply! we haven't actually fed it FUCK ALL so far, just watered it.... we were wondering if we should re-pot soon...i think the pot is actually restricting growth right now...

but we're ghetto growers through and through...we want to see if it can be done on a very tight budget....as i was made redundant/sacked on monday we don't got no mo dolla...

At it's present size I dont see a point in you transplanting to a larger pot.

    all rifgt last stand..
something is wrong.. lets figure it out..
I think Syrrus mentioned over watering .. and that is a good place to start....

I would transplant... your still vegging correct?
3-5 gallon pot.. mix with 20-30% perlite....
Keep the light close to your plant (1 inch)... cfl.. correct?
The plant just isn't thriving.. and it should be...

After you transplant it without disturbing the roots, give it a good watering... 130 ounces of ph'd water... 6.0-7.0.... keep the temperature at 70-80 degrees.. and leave it alone for 5-7 days.. let the soil get pretty dry....

    then post some pics..

unfrotunatley I am leaving for a month to a place where there are non computers...

sounds like syrrus can help.. but he also seems like he is to smart for the job... uses big words and stuff..LOL

    i love you.. and syrrus
and star child..and zandor.. and turtle
and well you get the picture
